The Pasig Traverse Walk is an upcoming urban walking event organized by Guinness World Record holder Lito De Veterbo scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026.
The primary objective of this walk is to test if an end-to-end, north-to-south city traverse of Pasig can be fully completed on foot in 2 hours and 11 minutes. Beyond checking the time, the walk is designed in coordination with Pasig Transport to survey sidewalk quality, document pedestrian obstacles, and highlight city cleanliness or lack thereoff.
Key Event Details
- Date: Saturday, August 15, 2026.
- Estimated Time: 2 hours and 11 minutes.
- Route Plan: A continuous end-to-end, north-to-south crossing of Pasig City.
Strict Environmental & Participation Protocols
True to Lito De Veterbo’s background as “Mister LNT” (Leave No Trace), all participants must strictly follow community guidelines to ensure the walk remains completely zero-waste:
- BYO (Bring Your Own): You must bring your own reusable water container and snacks. Buying single-use plastic bottled water is highly discouraged. Water refills and meals can be bought along the way at local carinderias / eateries or fast-food joints.
- BYOTH (Bring Your Own Trash Home): Absolutely no trash is to be left behind anywhere in Pasig City during the walk. You are responsible for carrying your trash out with you – taking them with you all the way back home. Trash generated as a result of local purchases and consumption may be left behind in proper trash bin for sanitary purposes.
- Self-Reliance (KKB / KKP / KKI): The walk operates on Kanya-Kanyang Bayad (individual expenses), Kanya-Kanyang Punta (independent arrival at the assembly spot), and Kanya-Kanyang Insurance (personal safety liability).
