1. REFUSE things that will become trash

Any item we take or accept may end up being a piece of garbage. Avoiding them is your first step.

How: Kelangan pa ba ipabalot ‘yan?

BYO eco-bag, reusable water bottle, mess kit, even a cup for your take-out coffee. At the check-out counter or sari-sari store, you can nicely say “Huwag nyo na po ibalot.”

2. REDUCE your trash footprint

If you cannot refuse, at least have the mind to minimize the trash you generate.

How: Avoid products in sachet. Instead, buy in bulk or big packs. For example: Instead of buying individual 3-in-1 instant coffee in sachet, buy big packs of coffee, creamer and sugar. Mix them yourself and put in a reusable air-tight container. You even make it your on-the-go coffee. Hingi ka lang ng hot water ke manang or sa tambayan nyo. Pede pa i-share sa iba. Sikat ka.

3. REUSE what you already have

We know you have the resources kasi RK ka, but why buy when you can use what is readily available at home or your personal arsenal.

How: You have done it at some point in your productive life. Can you identify items that you reuse? Share them in comments section so others may benefit from them.

4. RECYCLE to give your trash a new life

Yes, it’s the last option you may pursue if you are aiming for zero to minimal trash.

How: Ginagawa or nagawa mo na’to before. Can you suggest how? Let us know in the comments section. Gogogo.
