The Sibuyan Connection

Prior to commencing my crossing of PH on foot on February 9, 2025, I walked the whole Sibuyan for 3 days the week before from February 1 to 3, 2025, serving as my final training (final rehearsal) where I tested my GPS, pace and preparedness. Providing me security support at that time was Kuya Julie Edwin Roa, who rode his tricycle either beside me, behind me or ahead of me, ensuring my safety as I traversed the 93-km stretch of Sibuyan circumferential road.

On February 17-18, 2026, we conducted LEAVE NO TRACE seminar for the mountain guides and porters as part of Mount Guiting Guiting pre-opening preparedness activities. Joining us in this pre-opening learning workshop were Christian Rafol, Liz Vizcarra, Ramon Jay Z Jorge, Florence Tansiongco, Rod Relox.
